Turns out I’m not a one hit wonder on your site after all. Just wait for my all acoustic artwork. It’ll be top forty gold.
Seriously, thanks. I’ll pass your compliment on to the happy couple who have this piece now. If you check my gallery, there’s another one similar to this I did earlier. A third will light itself up on my site some time soon as well.
I had my first ever attempt at art (St Philip Howard’s Roman Cargolic Comprehensive School, Glossop, Derbyshire, England) held up for the class to laugh at (thanks and great pedagogical psychology, Mr Connolly) so I’m a none-hit wonder.
My first piece for university was labelled by the professor during critique as not making any sense (the assignment was to do a 10-drawing narrative), and a few fellow classmates immediately labelled it misogynist.
A few people came to my defence, and I still have a fondness for the series. It was showing the three fates each perishing in various ways, all self-inflicted and magical, and involving acorns, which at the time I used a lot as symbols of wisdom.
Anyway, it is all about finding the right audience. Hit me with a wonder some time! Although, giant photos of ratfish have that effect…

You can’t let a bit of laughter stop you!
